WICHITA – Two people from Pratt have been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on charges of making phony money.

26-year-old Robert J. Jones and 42-year-old Julie A. Wahrman are charged with one count of making counterfeit 50-dollar bills, one count of passing counterfeit 50-dollar bills and one count of distributing methamphetamine. The crimes are alleged to have occurred in August 2011 in Pratt.

If convicted, they face a maximum penalty of 20-years in federal prison and a fine up to 250-thousand dollars on each of the counterfeiting charges, and a maximum penalty of 20-years and a fine up to 1- million on the drug charge.
