HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 22-year-old man charged with aggravated indecent liberties with a child for alleged touching or fondling of a 9-year-old girl entered a plea in the case Friday with the state dropping other charges and cases.

Sterling Tucker pleaded guilty to touching the child on numerous occasions between Dec. 25, 2015, and Feb. 15, 2016, which is when she told someone of the encounters.

Even with the severity of the crime being less, he could still see a sentence of over 20 years.

Judge Tim Chambers set sentencing in the case for Nov. 17. Both sides will be able to argue disposition in the case.
