HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Police report that more phony money is being passed at local businesses.

The latest occurring Monday at the Hutchinson Government Employees Credit Union where they reported Monday that a Hispanic male brought a counterfeit $20.00 to that institution.

As we told you earlier, at around 1 p.m., Friday, an employee at Papa Johns Pizza at 501 East 17th reported a fake 100 dollar bill being passed at the business.

Earlier in the day Friday, an employee of Heartland Credit also report receiving a fake bill, this time a counterfeit 20 dollar bill. That bill was received at the branch at 129 West Avenue A just after 10:30 a.m.

No arrest have been made with any of the cases.

Local businesses need to be on alert for someone passing these fake bills.
