HUTCHINSON, Kan. — As expected, the Reno County Commission approved a contract between Reno County Community Corrections and the Substance Abuse Center of Kansas for juvenile substance abuse treatment services. The contract provides treatment services through a juvenile justice Reinvestment grant.
Under the contract, Reno County Community Corrections would pay the Substance Abuse Center just over $6,458 per month.
The contract will run from Dec. 1 until June 30, 2018, but is expected to be renewed and run an additional year.
The commission also approved a request from Information Services to accept the quote from Network Management Group for the installation of power and cooling systems in the new Data Room at the courthouse for a cost of $64,580. This was only scheduled as a discussion item, but it was approved anyway.
Commissioners were also asked to consider vacating a small part of Lake Cable Road east from Worthington to a small river, which is in southeast Reno County. However, there is a process before it can be approved. That includes having the resolution published twice, then waiting for another 20 days after that before the commission can consider taking final action.
