HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After much discussion, the Hutchinson City Council gave approval to the new
rental fee structure for use of the Sports Arena.
The new policy covers all events held in the arena and will be prorated on the number of days an event is held, whether it’s a non-profit entity and by how much revenue the event will generate for the city.
There are also fees for use of equipment, personnel and cleaning charges as well as use of the arena scoreboards and video system.
Also today, the council gave approval to rezone a parcel of land on the southwest corner of Washington and Sherman. The land is the site of a new proposed apartment complex developed by Manske and Associates.
And the council approved an agreement with K-Dot for inspection of city bridges and gave approval to a contract with Burns & McDonnell for monitoring the 4th and Carey pollution site at a cost of $56,600.
