HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Two people were arrested early Saturday at a home in the 600 block of West 6th in a drug-related case.

Police went to the residence for a warrant check for 22-year-old Trevor Hover. They saw 42-year-old Teri L. Builta leaving out the back door. She was in possession of a white purse which reportedly contained some drugs.

Police also ordered Hover to come out of the house and he shut the back door and locked it. He eventually did come out and was placed under arrest for failing to appear in another drug case.

Police say they found 11-grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, a number of prescription drugs and some pipes used to smoke drugs.

Builta was also found to have an outstanding warrant in Sedgwick County. She faces possible charges here for distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, possession of personal use drug paraphernalia, no tax stamp and possession of marijuana. She’s jailed with a bond of $69,500.

Hover was arrested for felony interference with law enforcement. Hover is well known to law enforcement with other cases pending before the court, also involving drugs. His bond is set at $54,500. His bond also includes issues for failing to appear, direct contempt of court and a probation violation.

In court, he was read a new complaint filed against him for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia for a case on Oct. 25. He is also awaiting sentencing for a number of other cases also involving drugs.

Both will be back in court next week.
