HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 47-year-old man is jailed and facing possible charges of commercial sexual exploitation of a child and sexual battery.

Officers were called to a home on West Sherman on the report from an underage girl that Jerry Pierce Jr. was attempting to have sexual relations with her. He apparently touched her in a sexual way during an altercation.

According to statements made in court, the two also chatted about having sexual encounters on Facebook.

In court, Pierce asked for a reduction of his bond. That was denied by Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen.

He’ll be back in court next week.
