MCPHERSON COUNTY — A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just before 6p.m. Wednesday in McPherson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Chevy Equinox driven by Katrina F. Vanatta, 20, Newton, was stopped at Interstate 135 southbound exit ramp one mile east of Moundridge. The driver failed to yield.

A 2005 Mazda MPV driven by Cintia L. Giesel, 25, Heston, that was eastbound on Arrowhead Road collided with the Chevy.

Vanatta was transported to Mercy Hospital. Giesel was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
