The Kansas Emergency Medical Technicians Association will kick off its annual conference at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center here in Hutchinson, with a Pre-Conference day. Presentations will be held all day, featuring Bill Justice and his well known active shooter course, followed by a vendor’s reception that evening.
The following day, March 16, they will begin thier first day of the annual Conference, KEMTA has brought in 4 National Key-Note speakers, as well as several local and state wide presenters for this event.
Festivities of this event include, a vendor’s reception the evening of the pre-conference, along with educational opportunities all day.
Friday will include educational opportunities throughout the day, with opening ceremonies being conducted by the local Fire department, to include a welcome by the mayor of Hutchinson.
A hospitality room, along with entertainment that evening will conclude the Friday festivities. Saturday will include educational opportunities, and a banquet that evening honoring fallen heroes of Kansas EMS, as well as outstanding EMS professionals from across the state.
Following the banquet, they’ll provide entertainment for the annual after banquet party, with this year’s theme being “Luck of the Irish” in honor of St. Patrick’ Day. Sunday will include educational opportunities, as well as closing ceremonies.
Kansas Emergency Medical Technicians Association(KEMTA) is a group of dedicated Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel across the state of Kansas that enables unity and solidarity of pre-hospital medical service personnel. KEMTA serves as a voice for EMS throughout the state, as well as all government levels. Each year KEMTA hosts a State wide Conference offering the attendees the opportunity to get educational hours needed for re-certification, as well as offering the opportunity to come together as one voice for Kansas EMS.
The event is again, March 15 through 18, at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center.
