Sheriff’s officials investigate animal cruelty case

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Sheriff’s Office took a report Tuesday afternoon of someone tossing a female pit bull-mix puppy out of a moving vehicle in the 200 block of Westland Drive. The dog had several scars on its face.

The person driving the car is described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s. The vehicle was described as a two-door foreign-made vehicle. It was described as either a Honda, Toyota, or Hyundai brand. The color of the car was dark-to-medium blue with a metallic finish.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office.
