Man indicted in Wichita Bank Robbery

TOPEKA – A 59-year-old man has been charged with robbing a Wichita bank.

Donald R. Young, is charged in the case with the indictment alleging that on Feb. 10, 2012, he robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 455 S. West Street in Wichita.

The complaint alleges he gave the teller a note saying, “I have a gun, remain calm, I only want 50s and 100s, do not sound any alarm or make a scene, no dye packs or bait bills, work as quickly as possible.”

If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years and a fine up to $250,000.
