HUTCHINSON, Kan. — On Tuesday, Reno County Commissioners approved a request from Fire District 7 to purchase and outfit a used brush truck from the Hutchinson Fire Department for a total cost not to exceed $55,000.

District 7 primarily covers the southwest corner of the county and often assists in surrounding counties. The truck has a larger tank for fighting fires.

The old truck will be sold as surplus property on Purple Wave.
