Suspected drug dealer formally charged

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 25-year-old Wichita man found to have a large quantity of marijuana after he was stopped by a Reno County Sheriff’s Deputy for an expired tag has been formally charged.

Forrest Ward was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, unlawful acts involving drug proceeds, and possession of hydrocodone.

Ward was in possession of 1.7 pounds of marijuana and $17,000 in cash. 

Ward is free on bond. He’ll be back in court for a status hearing on Jan. 16.
