HUTCHINSON, Kan. – At the December meeting of the Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees, the Board wrapped up its calendar year as it received an overview of its annual audit.

The Board, in addition to several items of routine business, heard updates on its ongoing Higher Learning Commission accreditation process, strategic planning initiative, approved the President’s contract for 2017-18 and approved room and board rates for the 2018-19 school year.

The Board also bid farewell to retiring Trustee Gary Witham. Witham joined the Board in 1993 and just concluded 24 years of service. He is being replaced on the Board by HutchCC alum Todd Miller.

The next meeting of the board will be Thursday, January 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Shears Technology Center Justice Theater. The public is invited to attend.
