KINGMAN COUNTY, Kan. — The KDH&E has issued a boil water advisory for the small community of Spivey
in Kingman County after a power outage shut down the city’s water system, leaving it open to possible contamination.
The order was issued by the state yesterday and remains in effect until water samples can be taken to determine if the service was compromised in any way. Such tests take a day or two to complete.
Spivey has a population of around 75 residents and is located about 15 miles south and west of Kingman.
