Arraignment continued for suspected drug dealer

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 36-year-old man accused in a drug distribution case was scheduled to be arraigned this morning. That arraignment has been continued to next month and he has been assigned a new attorney.

Julian Price is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, interference with law enforcement, felony flee and elude, and driving an unregistered vehicle.

The state alleges that, on June 29, 2017, Price led Reno County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high-speed chase. Once stopped and arrested, deputies discovered he was in possession of 450 grams, but less than 30 kilograms, of marijuana.

Price has served time in prison for convictions for two counts of aggravated battery and drug-related charges in both Saline and Reno counties.
