HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas Army National Guard will host a special event for guests that features an orientation flight with a Black Hawk helicopter Wednesday morning.

The event is being used to promote the National Guard and highlight the helicopter — which was instrumental in fighting the wildfires last year in Kansas.

The helicopters performed water bombing on the fires throughout the devastation.

The helicopter will land in the west parking lot of the Sports Arena and take guests on a tour of the area. Refreshments and closing comments will follow.
