An update on the downtown Hutchinson Rec Offices, which were damaged after someone set a dumpster on fire near a neighboring business early Sunday.

That brought smoke damage to their offices, and forced them to canceled events held at the Keller Leisure Arts Center, and move their offices to other Hutch Rec sites.

However, now they’re telling us that starting Wednesday, the Hutchinson Recreation Commission’s downtown office and Keller Leisure Arts Center will be opened to the public for registrations. The office’s phone line at 663-6179 will also be up and running.

But, most classes and activities for this week remain canceled at the Downtown Office only.
