HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 37-year-old man wanted in association with three cases was before a judge Thursday.

Jason Crabbs is accused of stealing a dump truck from APAC Shears in Hutchinson on Nov. 18, 2017. Charges include felony theft of property, conspiracy to steal the truck and other items, and criminal damage for damage to the truck and a gate at APAC Shears.

Allegedly, Crabbs and Ashley Miles attempted to sell the dump truck, a trailer and skid-steer. The potential buyer became suspicious and called authorities. Officers apprehended Miles at a residence in Sedgwick County in November. Crabbs ran from the scene and had been on the run ever since.

He was picked up in Oklahoma earlier this week and extradited back to Kansas.

In the second case from October of last year, he’s accused of two counts of aggravated assault for an incident on Oct. 23, 2017, for threatening two individuals with a vehicle; and a third count of stalking for sending abusive text messages.

In the third case, Crabbs is charged with felony flee and elude, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property — that being a 2001 PT Cruiser. These crimes occurred on Nov. 29, 2017.

All three cases move to a waiver-status docket.
