HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Organizers of the first Hutchinson Polar Plunge announced that, by the end of Saturday’s festivities at the Hutchinson Mall, they had surpassed their goal of $5,000. There were at least $8,000 in donations raised to benefit the local athletes of Special Olympics.
