HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 31-year-old woman is facing charges after she allegedly stole two vehicles Wednesday — one right after the other.
Tiffany O’Dell faces possible charges of felony theft, auto burglary, possession of methamphetamine and theft.
The first vehicle, a Ford Escape, was reportedly taken from the 300 block of Pershing when the owner went inside and left the vehicle running.
While police were taking that report, officers got word of another stolen vehicle at the Kwik Shop at 1401 E. 4th. While they were taking the report of a stolen Honda Accord, officers spotted the first stolen vehicle parked in front of the Kwik Shop.
They made contact with O’Dell and placed her under arrest for theft. While doing a search, officers found meth on her. They also found a smartphone and keys from one of the stolen vehicles.
In court, she asked for relief from her bond – it was quickly denied.
