MCPHERSON, Kan. — Although the annual Storm Spotter Training meeting has already happened in Reno County, there are other meetings scheduled in the area. 

2018 Storm Fury on The Plains will be this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in McPherson County. It will be at the McPherson Opera House at 219 S. Main. This event is presented by the National Weather Service in Wichita.

The presentation will help prepare storm spotters and weather enthusiasts for the upcoming storm season.

Then, the Pratt County Emergency Management will have its presentation on March 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pratt Community Center, 619 N. Main, Pratt

That presentation will be conducted by the Dodge City National Weather Service Office.

Both events are free and open to anyone wanting to learn more about severe weather and safety.
