Chris Dimitt, Kansas City, Kansas, died March 10, 2018. He was born Aug. 8, 1960, in Garden City. The son of the late Melvin and Mary Dimitt, Chris grew up in Garden City and attended school there.

In Hutchinson, Chris was known as “The Popman” for his extensive collection of anything soda pop.

Service is pending. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery. Chris is survived by his wife, Cora; daughter, Cortney; sisters Lee Ann Shook, Ulysses, Kansas, and Terra Dimitt, Hoisington, Kansas; and brother Roger Dimitt, Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: David, Sherry and Mary Lane.
