HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 38-year-old Hutchinson man has been charged by the state with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and violation of a protection from abuse order.
Justin Tipton is accused of threatening the victim with a silver revolver during a disturbance back on March 10.
He is also charged for violating a protection order — issued last year — by making contact with the victim.
Tipton has been on community corrections for two counts of theft of a firearm, theft of property, criminal possession of a firearm and possession of drugs. He faces a corrections violation because of the latest arrest.
Tipton is jailed on bonds totaling $21,500.
His new case moves to a waiver-status docket on April 4.
