Hutch man charged in domestic case

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A local man with a burglary case already pending can add another one to the list.

Ryan Currie has been charged by the state with aggravated battery in a domestic case. He’s also charged with theft of property or services.

That case goes back to Feb. 19. Currie is accused of impeding the normal breathing of the victim by applying pressure on the throat, neck or chest, according to the complaint. He’s also accused of taking $200 from the victim on that same date.

Currie is jailed on a $10,000 bond. The new case will move to a waiver-status docket.
