MCPHERSON COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 11a.m. Thursday in McPherson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1981 Ford pickup driven by Jake Klassen, 85, Inman, was traveling southbound on 8th Avenue across U.S. 56 five miles west of McPherson.

An eastbound semi driven by Marcus Wells, 25, Pawhuska, OK., collided with the Ford on the passenger side.

Wells was transported to the hospital in McPherson. Klassen was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
