Students from Hutchinson will be taking a stand against tobacco on Wednesday at 11 a-m, at Hutchinson High School.
The Reno County Communities That Care Leadership Group will hold a health fair to inform students about the effects of tobacco and high school students will encourage their peers to stay tobacco-free.
This event is part of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids’ Kick Butts Day, a national youth movement against tobacco also taking place on March 21st.
This year, “Kick Butts Day,” comes just after a new report by the U.S. Surgeon General found that while the nation has made tremendous progress in reducing youth smoking, youth tobacco use remains a “pediatric epidemic” that requires urgent action.
