Moviegoers will virtually fly into the Valley of Speed for a spectacular aerial view of the fastest race in the world as “Air Racers,” the new IMAX film about the legendary Reno National Championship Air Races, opens at the Kansas Cosmosphere & Space Center April 6.

Filmed during the 2009 and 2010 Reno National Championship Air Races, the film showcases elite pilots as they jockey for position, wingtip-to-wingtip, skimming a mere 50 feet above the ground, flying around an oval course at twice the speed of a NASCAR race. The film is narrated by “Fast and Furious” franchise co-star Paul Walker and includes North America’s top-notch aerobatic pilots, including the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
