Suspected drug dealer formally charged

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One of two people arrested April 2 on drug distribution charges was back before a judge Thursday morning for the formal reading of charges.

Shelly Dill, 25, of St. John was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to package methamphetamine for sale, possession of marijuana, possession of clonazepam, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon and personal use drug paraphernalia.

She was arrested in the 7000 block of East 4th for the charges by a Reno County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Dill asked the judge to reduce her $20,850 bond. That request was denied. Dill was just discharged in March by the Kansas Department of Corrections for another drug case out of Rice County.

Twenty-two-year-old Kip E. Mason Jr. of Nickerson was also arrested April 2 for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
