HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One of several individuals charged in association with a drug distribution conspiracy last year was in court Thursday morning on a single charge.

Cathleen Zwickl was charged with conspiracy to distribute drugs between Oct. 3 and Dec. 5, 2017, with Leroy Lowe Sr., Austin Newton, Jessica Vigil, John Brawner, Dennis Swinney, Jackie Blevins and Amanda Swinney.

The state alleges all these people conspired to distribute between 100 grams and 1 kilogram of methamphetamine, according to the criminal complaint.

The charge is a level two with a maximum sentence of almost 12 years if convicted.

In court, Zwickl asked for a bond reduction. It was denied because the charge carries a presumptive prison sentence if convicted.

The others in the case have already been charged. All of the cases will now go before a judge.
