HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 39-year-old man accused of passing a counterfeit $20 bill at a local Dillons store was also arrested for drug distribution charges.

Just before 4 p.m. Monday, Anthony Redar was arrested for suspicion of making false information, theft by deception, felony interference, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, driving while suspended, no insurance and illegal display.

After the initial report for his counterfeit bill was submitted, Redar was reportedly caught with a distribution amount of meth.

According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, the other cases were discharged on March 15, 2018. Those convictions included two counts of possession and drugs, and two charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond in the case was set at $27,100.
