Man waives preliminary hearing; enters pleas in 2 cases

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Francisco Castaneda waived his right to a preliminary hearing and entered a guilty plea to 13 charges, including distribution of methamphetamine.

The charges stem from two cases. He was charged Feb. 20 with possession of drugs and stolen property — a Dodge Journey.

The more serious case occurred on March 25, when he was arrested on distribution charges.

Judge Trish Rose set sentencing for June 15.
