HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The HutchCC Board of Trustees will seek approval of a new contract for security services they hope will fill some of the gaps in the current system during Tuesday’s agenda session.

Currently, the college has a full-time security officer and utilizes a service to provide security during that officer’s time off. There are some gaps in the schedule when an officer is not on campus. During Tuesday’s meeting, the board will seek approval of a new service from Securitas at an annual cost of $173,997. With the new service, the campus will now have security on campus 24/7.

The board will also seek approval for the purchase of additional security cameras for the Sports Arena from Dynamic Electronics at a cost of $17,365. The board will then look over the latest curriculum report. The report is used each year to evaluate various courses. Any necessary changes will be made to keep up with current trends.

Tuesday’s meeting of the HutchCC BOT begins at 8 p.m. at the Shears Technology Center on campus.
