HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Last Thursday, thieves took newly-planted flowers from the library’s west entrance.

In an effort to recover the stolen flowers, the Hutchinson Public Library asked residents for help.

The post was shared nearly 700 times by local residents and made a lot of noise on social media.

Eagle Communications, situated just next door to the library at 9th and Main, knew the community deserved better. Pat James, Operations Manager at Eagle Communications, knew something had to be done. He went to work with his sales manager to find a radio client that would be willing to help. “We have amazing advertisers who are always willing to step up and help the community at a time of need. Stutzman’s Greenhouse didn’t hesitate to help,” James said.

The Hutchinson Police Department is still searching for the flower thieves.
