HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Police searched a home Tuesday and found a seller’s quantity of methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia, all within 1,000 feet of a school. This occurred in the 600 block of East 16th.
Trivey Ortega, who gave a Missouri address, faces potential charges of possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony interference.
Ashley Meadows, who is the primary resident, denied any of the drugs were hers during a court appearance via video from the Reno County Correctional Facility.
Meadows also faces charges for possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia to distribute, personal use drug paraphernalia and felony interference.
Twenty-eight-year-old Drew F. Chattam of Herington, Kansas, was also arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of methamphetamine.
He was seen driving after leaving the home.
