Topeka man sentenced to eight years for selling methamphetamine

TOPEKA – A Topeka man has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison for selling methamphetamine.

44-year-old Jay C. Joynt pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

In his plea, he admitted that he and co-defendant Amber Y. Martindale conspired to distribute methamphetamine in Topeka. In 2009, Joynt and Martindale sold methamphetamine to undercover investigators on seven occasions.

The transactions took place at Taco Casa at 6th and Lane, 2310 S. E. 21st, and a Family Dollar
