Molly Garcia Carter | 1941 – 2018 |

Molly Garcia Carter, 77, of Hutchinson, died Friday, June 15, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born January 8, 1941, in Hutchinson, to Angel and Manuela ‘Nellie’ (Vieyra) Garcia.

Molly was a member of American GI Forum, V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361, and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Unit #68.  She was the owner and cook for Venture Inn in Hutchinson for 16 years and worked at Cessna for eight years.

On March 4, 1978, she married Randall ‘Randy’ Carter in Hutchinson. He survives.

Molly is survived by: sons, Jesse and Sammy Monje, both of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Patsy Olivas and Anna Perez, both of Las Vegas, NV;  sisters, Angie Agoitia and husband Jerry, Lollie Luna, both of San Antonio, TX, Mercedes Corne of Tucson, AZ, Lydia Saiz and husband Bevo of Hutchinson, Christine Montes and husband Alberto of Arlington; brother, Angel Garcia Jr. of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Frances Garcia of Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: parents; brother, Johnnie Garcia; sister, Theresa Mireliez; and infant sister, Avalina Garcia.

Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m.  Monday, June 18, 2018, at V.F. W. Bob Campbell Post #1361 Hall,  328 N. Van Buren St., Hutchinson, KS 67501.  Memorials may be made to Molly Garcia Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS, 67501.
