HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The end of what has been a positive quarterly earnings session for companies with ties to Hutchinson and Reno County ends Thursday.

Kroger, the parent company of Dillons, is expecting a net profit of $0.63 per share on revenue of more than $37.3 billion.

The report is the first since the company sold off its convenience store chain, which included area Kwik Shops.

For the quarter, area companies did well with all reporting mostly positive numbers.

While Siemens/Gamesa is still not on the tax rolls in Reno County, the other major companies in the area carry a total valuation of more than $22,498,000 with $4,418,000 in total taxes.
