RENO COUNTY— Five people were injured in an accident just before 2p.m. Tuesday in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 GMC truck driven by John D. Leis, 63, Pretty Prairie, was   was eastbound on Pretty Prairie Road five miles east of Pretty Prairie.

The driver failed to yield right of way at Kansas 14. A northbound 2014 Kia Soul driven by Heather P. Berry, 44, Cheney, collided with the truck.

Leis, Berry and passengers in the Kia Colton J. Berry, 12; Kenzie G. Berry, 12; Kortney R. Berry, 8; all of Cheney, were transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

All five were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
