Dillon Nature Center hosting full day of events Sunday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — If you’re looking for something to do on Sunday, there are a couple of events at Dillon Nature Center, 3002 E. 30th.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a festival celebrating the local growers and food providers in the community. That includes a Farmer’s Market set up along the trail. There will also be entertainment from local musicians, cooking and gardening demonstrations, local speakers, a Foodie Fest Cook-Off & Salsa Contest.

The featured speaker is Chef Alli from Mayetta, Kansas. Chef Alli will present a live cooking demo and speak on eating healthy with locally grown food. That happens at 3 p.m.

Then from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be a three-course fundraiser dinner, dessert and drinks promoting area producers.

This will feature local chefs, local music and special auction items.

Tickets for the fundraiser dinner are $60 per person or $500 for a table of eight.
