HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutch High Salthawks hosted the AVCTL Preseason Tournament Saturday.

The Hawks played six matches, going 4-2 for the day. HHS started off with a 2-0 loss to Valley Center before coming back to defeat Salina South 2-0. After dropping their third match of the day to Andover in straight sets, the Salthawks came back and won the last three matches, defeating Liberal 2-0; Derby 2-1; and Goddard Eisenhower 2-0.

The Hawks return to action Tuesday evening when they host Liberal and Campus starting at 5 p.m. in the Salthawk Activity Center.
