Teen hospitalized after 3-vehicle Reno Co. crash

RENO COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident Thursday in Reno County.

The Reno County Sheriff’s Department reported a 2000 Nissan Maxima driven by Celina Dean, 17, attempted to turn around in the 7100 Block of North K14 Highway.
The vehicle lost all lights and power. Dean flagged down a passing Freightliner semi driven by 50-year-old Daniel Williams.

As the two were standing in the roadway discussing how to remove the Nissan, as eastbound 2001 Dodge 2500 driven by 64-year-old Chris Lamb struck the Nissan and pushed it into the semi.

Debris from the crash struck Dean. She was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. A private vehicle transported Lamb to the hospital for observation. Williams was not injured. The accident is still under investigation, according to the Reno County Sheriff’s Department.
