NICKERSON, Kan. — The Nickerson Panthers fell to the Smokey Valley Vikings 8-6.

The first quarter was a stalemate as neither team scored.

In the second quarter, Nickerson scored a TD with only 1:14 left before halftime.

The Vikings finally answered with a touchdown in the third and added the two-point conversion.

Nickerson (0-3) plays Holcomb (1-2) Sept. 21 for homecoming.
