JUNCTION CITY – Police in Junction City responded to 1450 North Calhoun early Friday morning. Detective Jeff Childs said while officers were enroute one victim Michael A. Washington, 25, of Junction City who was suffering from two gunshot wounds went to Geary Community Hospital. Childs confirmed Washington said he was involved in the shooting at the North Calhoun location.

Childs added when officers arrived at the shooting scene they located a second man who had suffered one gunshot wound, Lamar Davis, 25 of Junction City. He was transported to Geary Community as well. Police confirmed both men were transported to other hospitals in stable but serious condition. They did not believe either one sustained life threatening injuries.

Childs confirmed handguns were used in the shootings, but the motive or what led up to the incident is not yet known.
