HUTCHINSON, Kan. — You may have noticed that gas prices went up in the last week. Hutchinson is not alone, Kansas was part of a regional trend that saw prices at the pump rise with the average cost for a gallon of regular gas rising four cents this past week. The average price across the state is at $2.70 per gallon.
The rate for regular unleaded in Hutchinson is much lower than that, however, prices did increase here as well. Most stations Monday are showing a price of $2.56 per gallon.
Prices in South Hutchinson are much higher, but still below the state average. Most stations are reporting a price of $2.69 per gallon.
According to AAA Kansas, this week’s Kansas gas price extreme is in Kensington in Smith County at $3.01 per gallon. The lowest price in the state is in Hutchinson and Newton at $2.56 per gallon.
