Union Pacific crossing work in Arlington postponed

ARLINGTON, Kan. — Two grade crossings that were to be closed Wednesday and Thursday in Arlington will stay open after all. Union Pacific was to replace those crossings but have delayed it until further notice.

The crossings at Arlington Road between K-61 and Sego and Sego between K-61 and Arlington will be closed eventually but no new date was given.

The repairs are part of a large maintenance project for UP to replace ties and repair grade crossings. The work will also mean much slower train speeds in those areas that will cause some delays.
