Sedgwick County Jail Clinic employee arrested on contraband charge

WICHITA – An employee with a company who has a contract with the Sedgwick County Jail is in trouble with authorities for providing contraband to an inmate inside the jail.

On Monday, Sedgwick County Sheriff Detectives arrested 37-year-old Nancy Bunville, a Conmed employee on the charge. Conmed provides medical services and operates the clinic within the Sedgwick County Detention Facility at 141 West Elm, in Wichita.

Detectives allege that she had given an inmate several items of contraband, including a cell phone.

The case has now been handed to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of formal charges.
