HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Darron Boatright, the athletic director at Wichita State University, will be the speaker at the next Rotary Club meeting on Monday.

As director of the department, he has responsibility for its teams, contracts, and personnel.

Boatright spent five years as Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations at Wichita State University. His background includes 19 years in college athletics in both coaching and administration.

Boatright joined the Wichita State staff in September 2010 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he served as Associate Athletic Director for Development.

Boatright’s duties include the supervision and leadership of marketing, development, fundraising, corporate sponsorships, radio/TV broadcasting, media relations, ticket operations and day-to-day oversight of the men’s basketball and baseball programs for WSU Athletics.

He will be the speaker Monday at the Rotary Club meeting at the Atrium Hotel and Conference Center in Hutchinson starting at 11:45 a.m.
