MCPHERSON COUNTY— One person was injured in an accident just after 8a.m. Thursday in McPherson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Toyota RAV 4 driven by Karen S. McKenzie, 59, Wichita, was westbound on Kansas 61 one mile NE from 14th Avenue.

The SUV left the north side of road, hit the guard rail, spun in the air and landed in the westbound driving lane.

McKenzie was transported to the hospital in McPherson. She was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
