HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons blasted the Northeast Community College Hawks in Friday night’s game 99-62.

More than 10 minutes into the game, the Dragons only led the Hawks 21-17.

With less than a minute before halftime, the Dragons built that lead to 12. Hutchinson’s Chris Giles added to that lead when he nailed a jumper just before the halftime buzzer sounded. The Dragons took a 46-32 advantage into the locker room.

The Dragons outscored the Hawks 53-30 in the second half to win 99-62.

Hutchinson Community College will play Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
